About
Dao of EMS
Leading with Purpose; Inspiring Excellence
Paramedic, Educator & Speaker
Earl V Culvey III, BS, NRP
Earl has over 25 years experience in EMS, serving in frontline and leadership roles in various organizations. Earl started in emergency services, with the volunteer fire service, where he crafted his intense desire for public service and sacrifice. He continued to volunteer in hazardous materials response and EMS, which he eventually made his life's purpose.
My journey in EMS began on the streets as an EMT, working for various organizations in Central Pennsylvania. There I continued to learn and develop my compassionate patient centered care style. I found a passion for teaching during this time and was able to help train, several hundred new EMTs. I later furthered my education, going to paramedic training, at Harrisburg Area Community College, eventually completing their Associates degree.
After having the opportunity to present at the World Trauma Symposium, on research I was part of, I again found my passion for speaking and teaching. Leading to the creation of the Dao of EMS.
The Dao of EMS isn't a philosophy — it's a practice. It's the daily work of showing up, learning, and leading with both competence and compassion.
